The Deity and Incarnation of Christ

WE AFFIRM that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, truly God and truly man, one Person in two natures. We affirm that Jesus is equal to the Father in his divinity and less than the Father in his humanity. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We affirm that Jesus was incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Christ, in his work of mediation, acted according to both natures and by each nature doing that which is proper to itself. He lived a sinless life, heralded the kingdom of God, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our Prophet, High Priest, and King.

WE DENY any doctrine that rejects or diminishes the deity, humanity, or sovereignty of Jesus Christ. We deny that Jesus was created. Though Jesus was tempted, we deny that he ever sinned.
